Let the Lord God Be Your Healer

Let the Lord God Be Your Healer

There was a woman plagued with bleeding for 12 years. She spent all of her money, and went to physicians for help, but nothing worked, and the bleeding got worse. She knew Jesus would be the one who could and would heal her. She had faith. She was determined to get close enough to Jesus. She knew the power He had, and she made her way through the cloud to get close enough to touch his garment. Imagine the thoughts that went through her mind. In fact, Mark and Luke recorded what she said, “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:28)

The Bible said she was “healed immediately” upon touching him (Luke 8:47). She felt the blood stop instantly, and when Jesus noticed her, she trembled with fear and fell at his feet with humility, honoring him as King and her Healer. And Jesus responds to her by saying, “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” (Mark5:34).

Jesus’ healed the woman with his power. And Jesus can do the same for you. Are you in need of healing? Do you want Jesus to be your healer? You’re God’s daughter, too. You can be made whole. Pray, have faith, and trust in the Lord God to bring healing to your situation.

“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭43‬-‭48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬-‭34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭107‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭30‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
